BIO

With nearly 25 years of career, two original albums, and an extensive portfolio of arrangements and productions for music and audiovisual projects, Pedro Araujo has established himself as one of the leading names in soundtrack production and music for artists in Brazil and abroad.

Born in São Luís do Maranhão (1984), Pedro was introduced to music in his childhood, influenced by family members. At the age of 14, he began studying guitar and cavaquinho. In 2002, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he studied with guitarist Nelson Faria and guitarist/arranger Willians Pereira. He graduated in MPB/Arrangement at UNIRIO (2010) and later completed a postgraduate degree in Music for Film and TV at the Brazilian Conservatory of Music (2014).

He released the albums Buraco do Tatu (2008) and Raiz (2013), and has performed at important festivals and venues, such as Sala Baden Powell and the Montreux Jam Session (Switzerland, 2014). In the instrumental music scene, he has shared the stage with renowned musicians including Leo Gandelman, Marcelo Martins, Eduardo Neves, Mike Tucker (USA), Altair Martins, Vittor Santos, Idriss Boudrioua, Mauro Senise, and the Jobim Jazz Orchestra.

As a producer and arranger, Pedro has contributed to dozens of soundtracks for TV series, soap operas, commercials, and video games. His most recent works include Sol Nascente (2016, TV Globo), Éramos Seis (2019, TV Globo), Pantanal (2022, TV Globo), Vai na Fé (2023, TV Globo), Todas as Flores (2023, Globoplay), Encantado’s (2023/24, Globoplay), Guerreiros do Sol (2025, Globoplay), as well as the games Deathbound (2024) and Profane (in development).

In the field of songwriting, he has arranged music for artists in Brazil and abroad. Recent releases include the albums Sopro (2023, Vinicius Castro, Vicente Nucci & Zé Motta), Quarto Mundo (2023, Renato Frazão), Pássaro Homem (2022, Mano Lopes), as well as the singles “Baby Girl” (Tasman Edge – New Zealand), “Christmas Song” (Sissel – Norway), “From Lough Key to Iona” (Roisin Gavin – United Kingdom), and “Lavender Moon” (Cristina Movileanu – Romania).

Pedro also arranged music for the special Novela em Sinfonia (TV Globo), performed by the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB). In addition, his arrangements have been performed by other internationally renowned ensembles, including Petrobras Symphony, the Saint Petersburg String Orchestra, and the Prague String Orchestra, among others.

Since 2021, he has been part of the team of arrangers at Musiversal, an international platform based in Portugal, working on an average of 40 songs per month between pre-production and arrangement.

Also in 2021, Pedro founded the Salina Duo with singer Juliana Araujo, performing across several Brazilian cities. The duo’s repertoire is dedicated to Brazilian music and original compositions, strengthening their musical partnership and connecting with audiences through intimate concerts and festivals.
